Using Java from ColdFusion

Drinking Cold Coffee - Learn how to use Java objects from ColdFusion. Join Doug to learn how to begin leveraging the power of Java from ColdFusion. The presentation will cover topics such as why you want to use Java from ColdFusion, how to invoke and use Java objects, some of the advantages, and some of the pitfalls, as well as their solutions. Doug will also demonstrate two CFCs which use Java. The first will be a simple component for working with Zip files (source code will be provided). The second is an advanced example, the Alagad Image Component. The Image Component is a CFC written in ColdFusion which leverages Java to provide over 60 methods for manipulating images (demo versions will be handed out).
