Error handling in ColdFusion

As a web developer, you work with a lot of technologies that interact via numerous systems. No matter how well you write code, you will inevitably find bugs and encounter system failures that are beyond your control. Such errors can ruin an otherwise enjoyable experience and cost you customers. In this presentation, we'll learn about the different mechanisms available to us to intercept these errors before they get to the client. We'll learn how to handle the errors appropriately and to ensure that even error messages can heighten the user's experience.

Mosh Teitelbaum has been programming for over 20 years, has over 10 years of experience with web development, and has over 8 years of experience with ColdFusion. As a technology consultant, Mosh has been lead architect, lead developer and/or project lead for ColdFusion and Java projects for clients in the airline, oil, telecommunication and pharmaceutical industries. He is currently President of evoch, LLC, a technology consultancy specializing in ColdFusion and J2EE development.
